AT PRESENT THE BANCHORY SIDE OF THE CLUB HAS A WAITING LIST - PLEASE CALL THE SECRETARY
The club was founded in 1977 as Banchory AAC, and members originally trained in the Burnett Park in Banchory. Members now train at the grass 400m athletic track in Alexander Park, with a large long jump pit, shot putt circle and discus cage, and the club has built up a good range of field events equipment.
Funds were raised in 1997 for the all weather running strip at one end of the long jump pit, which enables running and hurdles training to take place in any weather.
In 1982, a branch of the club was started in Stonehaven which now meets at Mackie Academy and, although the locations train separately, members get together for trials, championships, medal evenings and to represent the club team, whose name represents the two communites.
